What is implementation science?
Implementation science is the scientific study of methods and strategies used to promote the adoption, effective delivery, integration, scale-up, and sustainability of evidence-informed interventions, programs, practices, and policies.
Who can join ASIS?
ASIS welcomes researchers, practitioners, healthcare professionals, policymakers, educators, students, implementers, funders, community representatives, institutions, and others interested in implementation science.
Do I need formal implementation science training to join?
No. ASIS welcomes both experienced implementation scientists and individuals who are new to the field.
Is ASIS limited to health research?
No. Although health is an important area of work, implementation science is relevant to education, social services, environmental programs, public policy, development programs, and other sectors.
Is ASIS only for people living in Asia?
ASIS primarily serves the Asian implementation science community. However, individuals and institutions outside Asia may participate when their work supports the Society’s mission and contributes to equitable regional collaboration.
Can an organization become a member?
Yes. Universities, research institutions, government agencies, health systems, professional societies, civil society organizations, and other eligible organizations may apply for institutional membership.
How can I participate in an ASIS working group?
Members may indicate their areas of interest during registration or contact the Secretariat to request participation in an existing working group.
Can ASIS provide training to an institution?
ASIS may collaborate with institutions to design context-specific implementation science courses, workshops, mentorship programs, and capacity-strengthening initiatives.
How can I establish an ASIS country network?
Interested members may submit an expression of interest to the Secretariat. Proposed networks should demonstrate local interest, inclusive leadership, and alignment with ASIS values and governance requirements.
How can my organization partner with ASIS?
Organizations may contact the Secretariat with a brief description of the proposed area of collaboration.
